Bloom 2027 HIP Streets by Jen Lewin

Jen Lewin (Jen Lewin Studio) has been commissioned to create Bloom, a colorful 10-piece structural installation to enhance the HIP Streets five-block downtown improvement project.   Earlier this year, Bloom was unanimously selected from the top four design presentations by the 16-member artwork jury. The artwork features ten permanent installations for 4th Street, spanning multiple sites between Garfield Avenue and North Lincoln Avenue. A series of luminous “petals,” each built from laser-cut aluminum, integrated lighting, and dichroic acrylic, gathers into chromatic “trees” that read as floating leaves or wings overhead. This installation will be completed in early 2027!

Native Creatures by Daniel Hornung

Artist Daniel Hornung’s Native Creatures celebrates Loveland’s wildlife with glee. Hornung’s new sculpture installation at Willow Bend Park is sure to please the entire family as visitors can embrace prairie dogs, converse with an inquisitive fox, and fall in line with ‘Merriam’s Turkeys’!

“The story of the Loveland turkeys who have their own crossing guards is really amusing and deserves to be immortalized,” says the artist. “The unorthodox commuters can have a home here in the nature trail section of the park.”  Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Pulliam Murals

Muralist Cole Eisenhour is on-site and has begun painting three Art Deco/Art Nouveau murals selected for the Pulliam Community Building. In Loveland for the next two weeks, Cole will transform blank wall into visions of the past, with a solid nod to the future.

“I wanted to capture the spirit of that early 20th-century design era with that sense of elegance and craftsmanship that came through in both movements… I also wanted it to feel fresh and connected to the Pulliam Building in how it uses balance, rhythm, and geometry to pull everything together.”

TAAP 2D 2026

Local artists and poets came together to celebrate their craft at this year’s TAAP 2D event at the Loveland Public Library. The Art Advocacy Project (2D) showcases a juried collection of eight artists who have loaned their pieces for display in the Loveland Library’s Main Galleria. In response, eight poets, chosen by the Loveland Poet Laureate Program, read their works. Both the artwork and poetry will be on display until February 2027. This year’s artists and poets are Jim Cencer, William Char, Heather Gardner, Brian Hackleman, Cindy Hale, Tatyana Grechina, Amy Irish, Linda Johnson, George Kalamaras, Raymundo Munez, Gia Nold, Belle Schmidt, Valerie Szarek, David Theissen, Tim Van Schmidt, Susan Walton.

Ever Watchful, Ever Ready

Loveland Fire and Rescue Authority’s Fire Station 7 saw the installation of Ever Watchful, Ever Ready on November 6. Created by former firefighter and sculptor James Lynxwiler, the work includes steel cutouts of three firefighters silhouetted against flagstone. Additionally, Lynxwiler fabricated a Cor-ten steel pedestal to display a historic siren recovered from the devastating 2013 Big Thompson Flood debris as a reminder of Loveland’s firefighting heritage.

2026-2027 TAAP 2D (Two-Dimensional Media)

Collaboration with the Loveland Poet Laureate Committee and Loveland Public Library.

Loveland Art in Public Places has announced the new artist selections for The Art Advocacy project, commonly known as TAAP 2D. The selected artwork is showcased in the Loveland Public Library’s Central Galleria and will be on display through February 2027.

The City has partnered with the Loveland Poet Laureate Program to create an interactive poetry element for the annual display. Local poets will write and display poems inspired by the works of art on exhibit.

Organizers believe the addition of poetry to this artwork display adds a wonderful component to this annual exhibit. Images and words combine, each enhancing the other.

The Art Advocacy Project is a one-year on-loan program designed to promote regional artists through the public display of their artworks as well as provide a means for artwork sales.
