Art by Bike
Experience Loveland like never before! In celebration of Bike Month, three rides are scheduled, each capturing unique, local elements and perspectives. A trained guide will lead each ride. All rides 8 am – Noon. Check-in at 7:45 am.
Minimum age: 11 with an adult.
All riders must pre-register through the Chilson Recreation Center’s summer issue of Leisure Times.
Participants must sign a waiver on the morning of the rides (or in advance on-line) and bring their own bike, bike helmet, water bottle and appropriate clothing.
Encounter Loveland’s world-class art collection and local artists
Route One – Northwest Art By Bike on Saturday June 9, 2018, 8 am – Noon. An opportunity to learn about Loveland’s art collection and meet some of the artists while riding between the following locations: Mehaffey Park, Columbine Gallery and the Benson Sculpture Garden. The ride begins and ends in the south parking lot of Mehaffey Park (3285 W. 22nd Street).
Route Three – Downtown Art by Bike on Saturday June 23, 2018, 8 am – Noon. A wonderful opportunity to learn about Loveland’s art collections, mural program and meet some of the artists while riding between selected artwork and studio locations in and around downtown. The ride begins and ends in the parking lot of the Senior Center (700 E. 4th Street).
Learn about the City’s compelling history and classic architecture
Route Two – Downtown History and Architecture on Saturday June 16, 2018, 8 am – Noon. This guided bike ride includes an opportunity to learn about Loveland’s significant history and exceptional architecture. Riders will learn from local historians and experts. The ride begins and ends in the parking lot on the north side of the Police & Courts Building (810 E. 10th Street).
